Does dungeonscape have some of the best artwork in a D&D book in quite a while? That picture of the purple worm is pretty awesome, and so is the cover. Anyone else love the artwork in this book?

Whatever else one thought of them, both the *scape books were damned pretty.
QFT.

I am not as critical of Cityscape as others have been, and I have yet to read any Dungeonscape bashing threads yet on EnWorld (are there any?).

Nope. Not much has been said at all, good or bad. There were a couple threads where the factotum was discussed, both pro and con, but other than that, nothing.

I thought it was an excellent book.

I've nearly finished reading it and I agree. It's on of the best WoTC books in the last 12 months, full of great ideas to use in your game. As for the original post, the art is great: one of the best things is the little story of the iconics that runs through the book with only one surviving to the end of the dungeon.

Cheers
