Is it possible to hide a thread?

You can filter out threads by general topic by going into your settings and clicking on any "tags" you're not interested in. For example, if you're not interested in anything to do with 2e D&D you can click to hide all threads with the "AD&D 2e" tag. Can't think of a way to hide just a single thread, though.

Other XenForo boards support hiding threads, but the functionality is either not enabled or requires a plugin that’s not installed. While I wouldn’t mind hiding some threads (like the ones about AI crap), I understand there’s limited bandwidth to make those kinds of changes, and there may not be interest in doing extra work to support that level of granularity.

I want to hide a thread because I'm tired of seeing it for months, and I know I'll never interact with it.
Same here. I would become a paying supporter of the site if that would make any difference in making this happen. There's a lot of threads I'll never read or post in that seem to dominate the recent threads on the main page and the list of threads on the community page that I often miss ones I would post in.

Well, I would recommend trying to use the "forum list" to narrow the topics. That might be better than just all new threads.

Otherwise, the scroll button is your friend.

In extremis, if you find that a particular person is responsible for starting all the threads you don't like ... maybe you hate long posts, for example, started by people with names that rhyme with Flarf, you can always ignore them and then you won't see those threads. But that's a drastic remedy.

I already did that a few years back, so it worked as far as I can tell. Unless my settings reverted back to the default, but I doubt it.

I don't recall ever ignoring anyone. I don't want to single anyone out because even if I don't read or post in the majority of their posts, there may still be a few I might. So yeah, a little too drastic of a solution to something that is more of an inconvenience than a problem.
