I like d20, and it does every possible genre to my satisfaction - at least when the designers approached the system with an open mind and threw out what didn't fit, like Mutants and Masterminds not bothering with classes, for example.
Still, its only a set of rules. Its nothing to get worked up about, and certainly not a reason for looking down on other gamers because they play something else (or putting up with other people looking down on you).
