Is Mystic Theurge a balanced P. class?

So I would assume that Complete Divine's Spirit Shaman (with the selection ability of the cleric/druid, and the spontaneous Johnny on the Spot ability of the Sorceror) should have a big boost in this calculation somehow? Note I have little "number crunching" ability so don't know how to fit this sort of thing in, but I leave that to you guys.

She would need something. The only disadvantage she has is that she retrieves even fewer spells than a Sorcerer knows on many levels, but she also gets to retrieve her highest level spell one level earlier than a Sorcerer (i.e. odd levels).
