Yeah, I know this is the type of question I post a lot, but b4 I drop 40 dollars, how good are the old Dragon articles when it comes to being able to be used by a 3rd edition player?

I agree. It is expensive, but it's probably my single favorite gaming purchase ever.

But then, I love it just for the "Wormy" cartoons.

Too funny -- I'm actually reading issue 195 off the CD right now!

There are a lot of "meta" articles that are still very useful, and electronic reams of tactics and strategy stuff that remain timeless.

Tons of good ideas, fluff, neat art, and great comics too!

Installed correctly, all the magazines are fully indexed and searchable. I did a reach for Oriental themed articles today, and got a LOT of returns.

If you enjoy reading .pdf's on your PC, I'd definitely reccomend it.

I'd be glad to answer any specific question if you like.

In my 25 years of gaming, I find the Dragon CD Rom to be the single most useful game supplement I have ever purchased for D&D, bar none.

It's worth it for the search feature alone!

I don't know how many times I would remember a useful article, but wasn't sure which issue it was in. And I know full well if I start going through them one at a time I will get sidetracked reading and forget what I was looking for in the first place.

The Dragon Magazine CD package is great. Wonderful articles.

The MAD Magazine Cd package is also great.

Now, we can only hope for a Playboy CD package. Ah, what articles!

I have it and I think it is an excellent resource. Its only downside is just how long you can spend reading the articles contained within. There are thousands of them.

I ain`t complaining though!!
:)

I will concur with the group. A supplement purchse with 0 regret. A rare thing unto itself.

But then again I have to admit to being somewhat of a Dragon fanboy from way back.
