Is there a reason you do not take a multi-class feat

Fighter +1 to hit once per encounter is uber lame.
It also marks the opponent. This is comparable to the paladin one, except the fighter increases the chance of you hitting that round and it does not burn them if they decide to ignore you.

If you want an optimization reason; it spends a feat that could be better spent elsewhere. I agree that if you want to diversify your character and have a good character reason for it, a multiclass feat is a good idea if you want, say, an extra skill plus a bonus. But, while you're diversifying your character, you're not concentrating on your core job.

Ask yourself why you're picking up another skill rather than Skill Focus in your character's job (eg Arcana if you're a Wizard).
