Is there any difference between the 3.0 and the 3.5 DMG?

The 3.5 DMG is almost twice the size of the 3.0 DMG. You figure that one out.

No it isn't. Sure they let out the seams a bit, but they only added 60 pages at most. Yeeesh, some people...

1) The line stating that Prestige Classes don't cause XP penalties for multi-classing. This was a typo, and may have been corrected in later copies, but the 3.5 DMG initially fails to mention that a Prestige Class won't cause XP penalties due to level disparity.

And the line about how you can't use any class features etc if you lose access to a PrC requirement. It showed up again in the Complete Warrior.

No one's mentioned the dfferent XP rules, including for cohorts, and the fairly different magic item prices...

I agree, these are the biggest changes in the DMG. Of course, as others have suggested, these things are in the SRD if you don't want to pay for another book.
