Who reads the off-topic forum? :p

Anyways the discrimination is apparently only regarding live action roleplaying, not tabletop D&D. At least I said I played D&D and I got accepted as an intelligence sargeant (non-officer-commander, what's the english term?), so it apprently didn't hurt MY profile...

In the United States' military services a non-officer commander is usually referred to as an NCO or non-commissioned officer. Of course, not all NCOs or even commissioned officers will be appointed in a command position. For example, fighter pilots in the Air Force will all be commissioned officers although only a fraction of fighter pilots will have a command position.
Sorry for the tangent. Forigve me if my explanation is flawed. While I have family members that are currently enlisted, I have never served in any military service.

I can't post my opinion on this here. :( I did on Nutkinland, but I can't post it here. I like not being banhammered to much to post it here. :)

That was an excellent explanation.

Has anyone seen the Critical Miss article that adresses this sort of thing? What to do/say when arrested as a gamer? Let me find it.

Edit: Here it is: http://criticalmiss.com/issue8/legaldefence1.html

From the linked article in reference to D&D players:

“They're detached from reality and suscepitble to influence,” the army says.

Emphasis mine.

Funny, I would think that the Israeli military would want reqruits that were susceptible to influence. Especially their influence.

Of course, the above quote may not be a "true" English translation. Especially given the spelling error.
