Item Creation a headache

A permenant version of this I would price much higher as the item would basicly nullify an entire school (enchantment) from working on the character,
It only stops direct mind-control, domination-type stuff, and the enchantment school is more than that. Charms would still work, as would holds, confusions, sleeps, etc.

The character would probably be better off investing in a resistance item, along with the the iron will and soul of loyalty (from OA) feats.

There is an amulet of proof against poison, right? How about an amulet of proof against mind control? Same price, same bonus, only the bonus is applied to will saving throws against any charm or domination effect.

No imunity to control (protection) but a much better save. He can still be affected, just not easily.

The feats allow for players to create items not listed in the DMG. The wand list and scroll list is not comprehensive.

Nowhere can you find a quote that gives that allowance to players. Potions, wands, and scrolls are spell-storage devices with specific "any spell" clauses and hard pricing rules in the PHB on p. 78. All other creation feats direct the player to the descriptive lists that exist in the DMG.

From the Feats description in the SRD, under item creation feats:
"An item creation feat lets a spellcaster create a magic item of a certain type."

It is the first line.

Precisely my point -- it does not say thay can invent a "new item".

The last line of the first paragraph says you must "See the Dungeon Master's Guide for descriptions... prerequisites associated with each one, and their prices..."

"New items" are an entirely separate issue. They have no descriptions, prerequisites, or prices listed in the DMG.

a possible solution:

treat the ring as if the persistant metamagic feat was nessacary to produce the effect

persistant Pro Evil: (lvl 5)

Spell level (5) X Caster Level (9) x 2000

90000 gp price
