Item creation question

I know different characters can collaborate in magic item creation, with the XP for the creation being paid by the character designated as the creator. Can a Wiz1 with the Scribe Scroll feat collaborate with a Clr3 to scribe a scroll of Cure Moderate Wounds? If so, presumably the Clr3 counts as the creator and pays the XP cost. Correct?

He has to, because the wizard's caster level (1) is insufficient for a scroll of Cure Moderate Wounds, and it's the creator whose caster level is used.

If it was a Wiz-5 and a Clr-3, on the other hand, the Wizard could pay the XP cost and use his own caster level (so if they wanted, they could make a CMoW scroll with a caster level of 5)... but in this case, the scroll would be arcane (since a scroll's nature is determined by the class of 'the creator').

A bard could thus use the scroll (an arcane caster with CMoW on his list), but anyone else who wanted to use it would need UMD.
