I don't have the PH in front of me, so please bear with me as I am going by memory, but....
The violet part of a Prismatic Wall states that is destroys items and that it sends creatures to another plane on a failed save. I was wondering how this works in play:
Does it destroy any item, attended (or magical) or unattended, or just unattended, non-magical items?
If it does destroy attended and/or magical items, do they get saving throws?
If a creature fails its saving throw, do its items go with them, or are they destroyed?
I originally thought that the violet part of this spell would automatically destroy any item, attended or not, with no save, and then the creature would be sent, without any items, to another plane on a failed save. I thought this because it seems clear that items get no save for the other colors' effects. However, one of my players pointed out that attended items typically either don't need to save or else get their own saving throw on a critical failure of the attending creature.
So, how should I rule on this spell in my game?
Thanks,
Atavar
