I'd rename these creatures "Mogwai" to avoid confusion between them and the mytology-esque Gremlins presented in the Creature Catalogue and 2nd edition monster manual. Otherwise, very nice.

Why in Hades would I wan't to do that? That would mean I was not true to the source. They call them gremlins in the movie, I call them gremlins here, so 'nyah' to you

How long did it take in the movies? haven't seen it in a while...

Somewhere between 3 and 6 hours I assume, as for in the second movie, by the time the mogwai had transformed into gremlins it was morning.
