D&D 5E It's October 1. Do you known where your spell cards are?

Looks like I'll be waiting for the corrected spell decks, not putting concentration tag is a glaring omission
Same here. Even if they decided there wasn't room for the whole word, they could have chosen to indicate it with an abbreviation or icon or something.

I was really looking forward to having some spell cards, but I can't abide shoddy workmanship of this magnitude.

It would be easiest to simply use a list of what spells that aren't concentration, there aren't that many of them. It is silly that someone would need to do this though. There is no reason why this shouldn't be on the cards, really now.
For those who are planning on keeping their cards, just writing a "C" next to the duration would probably do the most to aid gameplay. But then you have to mark the cards.

In the meantime, if you do not need a long list of spells, you can make your own fairly quickly.

Yes, that (excellent) site can also be used to filter spells by level, so you can easily mark up a level or two's worth of spell cards in batches. As the spell cards are sorted by level, that seems to be the way to go when actually doing the mark-up. For example, the Arcane spells levels 0 and 1 would be:

Level 0

Dancing Lights
Friends
Mage Hand
True Strike

Level 1

Detect Magic
Expeditious Retreat
Fog Cloud
Protection from Evil and Good
Silent Image
Tasha's Hideous Laughter
Witch Bolt

I think that I might just photocopy the spells, cut them up and put them with a MtG land card in a plastic sleeve with different colored backs for each PC. I was going to buy these, but it's taking way too long for them to have them all available and not having concentration on a spell is a fail.

Has anyone brought this issue to the attention of GF9?? Seriously, they are licensed to release 5e products and if this is what they are releasing I am seriously concerned for the DM screen and other licensed items they have on the pipeline.

I think the least they can do is fix these cards, re-release them (who knows when that will happen) and compensate those who have already purchased them.

I mean, they are not exactly cheap.

Just my 2 cents.

I've e-mailed GF9 to ask whether they're planning to correct and re-issue the cards for early buyers. Haven't received a response yet (and not expecting one immediately).

I don't think they're all that pricey, personally: I'd rather get replacements for free than buy the decks over again, certainly, but I got the Paladin and Ranger decks for $7 apiece and the Arcane deck for $20, and those don't seem like unreasonable prices to me.

Yes, if it weren't for the missing Concentration tag, which is a major deficiency, I would actually think the cards are excellent value. £3 (including VAT - sales tax) in the UK for the Paladin deck? You don't get much of anything for £3 these days. To put that in perspective, a set of Chessex polyhedral dice would be £8 and a coffee chain coffee would be between £2.50 and £4, depending on what you order.

They seem like decent value for money for what they are, and they are not bad if you have 1 character, but the price adds up quickly if you are a DM and want these so you have the appropriate information at hand for your spellcasters.
