James Wyatt hints at 5 new races in PHB2

OK, so it's not much information, but James Wyatt said in GRZ #32 that some of the races in the PHB2 would start with the following letters:
D
G
G
H
S

He also said that Humans could add +2 to any ability score (can't remember if that's been confirmed elsewhere or not).

D = Drow
G = Gnome
G =
H =
S = Shadar'kai

I'd say the G and H are goblin adn hobgoblin, but they will probably be completely new races

Edit: Second Thoughts.

D = Drow
G = Githyanki
G = Githzerai
H = Hobgoblin
S = Shadar'kai

I was about to say that the second G would be Githyanki or Githzerai given we are told psionics will be in the PHB2. However, I do think one of those "G's" will be gnomes.

Drow seems like a safe bet... except drow as a race are going to be statted out in the FRCS and putting them there and in the PHB2 seems redundant.

Shadar'kai... those guys I've never heard of before so I don't know.

I think it is safe to assume no races will appear in PHB2 that have already appeared in the setting-specific books. In the latest Ampersand article WotC stressed that they assume people to buy the setting books if they're interested in the races/classes that appear in them.

So:
No Drow, Genasi, Changeling, Kalashtar, Shifter, or Warforged will be in the PHB2.

The below statements are all conjecture.

Duergar* - Psionic race for Psionic Power Source. Their "demonic" nature (as described in an earlier & article I believe) will be tones down to Tiefling levels.

Githzerai - Psionic race for Psionic Power Source. Also popular with the Planescape "implied setting" in Manual of the Planes I and II.

Gnome - A popular race left out of PHB I. The MM entry is not a full write-up, and they're generic enough not to go into a campaign guide.

Half-Orc - A popular race left out of PHB I. Also likely Primal to support the Primal Power Source in PHB II.

Shifter - A popular race in 3.5. Also, the Shifter Ranger in Races & Classes suggests they are considered for Core play. Also likely Primal to support the Primal Power Source in PHB II.

*This is the guess I am least sure of, but I still think it's better than Drow. That's an FR-only thing, for the most part.
