D&D General Jaquaying the dungeon - a term to avoid

I donthinkbthat captures it. The reason I suggested "warren" upthread is because it evokes that kind of complicated pathways while still acknowledging the discrete nature. "Sandbox" suggests something too open to apply to dungeons, IMO.
If Jennell doesn’t like her name being associated with it, then that’s out as far as I’m concerned, and I can understand “Xandering” leaving a bad taste. But I think there’s value in having it be a verb. As an adjective, it’s a quality a dungeon either has or doesn’t have. As a verb, it’s something a GM does to a dungeon, either during its initial design, or by making changes to a dungeon that was not initially designed in that way. Perhaps “Thraciafying”?

I might just be showing my age, but I have real trouble mentally adjusting to the fact that in some parts of the world, ‘Xander’ is an actual name that real human beings have, rather than just being a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference.
I’m sure there must be some people whose parents actually put Xander on their birth certificate, but typically it’s short for Alexander, which is a fairly common name. Though it’s much more commonly shortened to Alex.

If it helps, you now officially know a Xandra, though to be fair that wasn't the name my parents put on my birth certificate.

It's not new, either: see surnames like Sanders or Sanderson.

Sure, but it is kind of nice to have easily understood concise terminology (even when it is not perect). "Megadungeon" is a ubiquitous term that has meaning but took a little time to get absorbed itno the broader community conversation.
"Megadungeon" can be parsed instantly. It's a mega-sized dungeon -- an enormous dungeon. That's not opaque jargon.

"Xandering" sounds like it means "creepy 'nice guy' who hangs around the Slayer waiting for her to have sex with him."

I know this is cynical but I am curious if there is any independent confirmation of that harassments. because the blog post is very vague and does not explain the potential harassments very well.
I think we can take it as read that any prominent trans person is going to be getting an awful lot of very horrible harassment. I don't think we need to ask for receipts on this one.
