So, I work at Sprint, a big telephone company, and we have this enormous campus (like 14 buildings, and separate garages). It houses upwards of 14,000 people. I, a lowly software engineer work in one of these buildings (building 6100).

This afternoon, I'd been dealing with a database issue, and needed to get something resolved (a major accomplishment in a red-tape laden work environment), so I'm upstairs, speaking to a manager, and my co-worker and he go off to discuss something, and I see a guy coming around the corner with the new D&D 3.5 books in his hand. Now, keep in mind that this is in the same building, on the 4th floor (I work on the 3rd floor). So, I comment to the guy, "Got your new 3.5 books I see." and he stops and says that he has. And then I asked, wondering if he might be Taren Nighteyes, because I know he works at the campus, "do you post on any message boards", and he says that he does, he posts on ENWorld. Shocked, I ask him who is on there. "Ghrezdd", which rang a bell, because he responded (though didn't come) to the KC ENWorld Game Day we held in March.

But as he was going home, and I had to have a discussion about why a certain data analyst is a lazy piece of crap, we departed ways. I never caught his real name. So, Ghrezdd, if you're reading this, drop me an email - Curtis Bennett. We'll do lunch. :)

But jeez, what are the odds of meeting another ENWorlder like that??

BTW, the dude has some balls bring his books to work like that. Don't think the thought didn't cross my mind, but I figured I'd better not. :)
