I love the old Muppet show, I grew up watching those zany critters! Its so kewl to hear they are coming up with some deeper material.

I can get episodes of the Muppet Show on DVD from my library. I just saw episodes w/ Steve Martin, Carol Burnett, and Gilda Radnar this week... still really funny.

As for the books optioned, I read Tithe and it was pretty good. It's definately mature reading w/ sex and drugs included.

If you liked The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, perhaps you should check out:

Jim Henson's The Storyteller

and

Jim Henson's The Storyteller - Greek Myths

I'll second The Storyteller DVD, especially if you like fairy tales and myths.
The Jim Henson series had more than just Storyteller episodes and I hope they release those on DVD too.

I should also say that Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies. If they're doing another movie in the Dark Crystal world, I can keep hoping they'll do a sequel to Labyrinth. Jennifer Connelly, Sara, in a guest part, could be the mom of one or more children that meet up with Hoggle and co. Ah well, I can dream. :D
