Joining a new group

Well, I made it back okay, and it wasn't too bad. A lot more free-form than my normal style of playing, and I was sorta stuck in the middle of a plot I didn't much understand, but it was fun.

Although, I might snap if the girl-with-high-pitched-voice keeps playing a gnome.

I actually swapped characters for this. I played a gnome necromancer specialist wizard. My normal character is a half-ogre barbarian/druid. He's not the brightest but can usually crush things with two swings of his huge greatclub. I wanted to give the DM a break as well a gauge how the new guy would work with the party, especially since he wanted to play an elven ranger, probably not the best match with a giant who likes to eat those who decide to pick fights with him.
