Joker confrimed for Batman Begins sequel.

I would sell a kidney to see Hugo Weaving as the Joker. :)

I totally agree, but the most consistent rumor I've heard is that Paul Bettany (Silas from Da Vinci Code) is the leading candidate.

True, but I still would like to see ONE movie with her in it and the best chance is with Joker. Besides, they still need a second villian. Any guesses on who that might be?

What major villians haven't been seen yet?

I think the Joker is capable of carrying a movie by himself, but I'd be willing to say we'll see the Scarecrow again in the second one. Perhaps as the chemist who makes the Joker Gas. ("Nononono, Mister Crane, I don't want a mixture to make people scream. I want them to laugh! The screaming will come later...")

Two Face is still possibly the biggest contender for a cool Batman villain. His backstory and tragedy is doubly (ow) compelling: he was a good man and a good friend to Bruce, who sees him as a possible mirror of himself. A good man driven to madness.

Clayface would be a good villain, though you might want to curb the more extreme levels of his shapeshifting ability.

Him or Hugo Weaving: I would like either of those choices. Good ones.

I'm not going to disagree, but virtually all of the Batman movies have two villians. I think it's a standard, so I just assume that there will be another villian.

Clayface could be interesting. I was thinking that myself.

Two Face already has been in a movie though. Not sure if he's gonna be in another one, but apparently the Joker is, so I guess he could be too.

They haven't done a good Two-Face. The Penguin in Burton's version wasn't at all like the comic or cartoon version. The Riddler was too whacky, not a cunning genius. What they did to the tragic character of Mr. Freeze was tragic itself. Poison Ivy, though, didn't really have much potential, so they handled her fine. I actually really liked how they handled Catwoman in Batman Returns.

We've never seen Killer Croc, the Clock King, Clayface, the Puppeteer, or Man-Bat. Of them, Clayface is the only one with enough pathos, but if done well he'd steal the show from Batman, and if done poorly he'd suck.

Oh, we also never got Egg Head, but really, without Vincent Price is there a point to have him at all?

Me, I want Talia to show up in movie 2 as a side character, and for them to introduce Harvey Dent. Movie 3 could be an adaptation of The Long Halloween, and movie 4 could involve the return of Ra's al Ghul.

I'd like to see the Joker (and only the Joker) as the villain of the next movie. I don't want the new franchise to fall into the same multi-villain stupidity that the first one did. Just the Joker.

I'd love to see Harvey Dent play a prominent role in this movie. Not Two-Face. Just Harvey. Set him up as someone we care about when he is struck by tragedy in the next movie.

Paul Bettany would be my first choice for the Joker.

Re: Robin Williams, is it just me, or would he make a good Mad Hatter?

Bane.

(NO, it does NOT count!) :uhoh:

IIRC, Bane in the one movie was just some stupid little guy beefed up on drugs but in the comic, wasn't he like a brilliant mastermind genius or something?
