I re-read the rules for jump and nowhere was any reference made to a height or clearance needed for a jump. Is there? If I have a party in a 5' tall corridor it would seem very hard to do a running jump since such a jump requires some height to attain the distance (and how do you run stooped over anyway). Any reference to a source or rule on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Per the D&D FAQ (p. 13 of the August version, which was all I could find right here :) ):

Horizontal jumps are as high as 1/4 the distance jumped, which occurs at the midpoint of the jump. For high jumps, just assume the horizontal distance is equal to the minimum horizontal jump for the type of jump you're making. That's 3 feet for standing jumps and 5 feet for running jumps.

With a 5' high corridor, a tall human couldn't even stand up, but I guess he could make a 'diving' jump. (Ouch!) Four times the 5' height is 20', so he couldn't jump farther than that. (Unless he was a monk, perhaps-does the Leap of the Clouds ability negate that maximum as well? I dunno ...)
