D&D 3.x Jumping in 3.5

Where in 3.5 can I read about the maximum jumping limits for pcs?
In 3.0 you had to be a monk or have a ring of jump or boots of ss, right?

AFAIK, the 3.5 PHB does not list any limits for jumping.
