JUST BOUGHT KEEP ON THE SHADOWFELL FROM BARNES & NOBLES

Okay, I'm back from the wedding but I have to go to another wedding related event in a few hours. The Barnes & Nobles where they're selling it is in Greensboro, North Carolina at Friendly Center. And at the reception I DID bring it out of the car to show it to the other gamers at the table. Also, the Bride yelled at us for looking at D&D books...-eh- such is life. I still have my nerd card right?

My Amazon preorder shipped at 2:27 AM on May 16 via UPS. I had Super Saver Shipping, and my estimated arrival date is May 28 (!)

Here's hoping it'll be here on my birthday (the 20th) . . .

It's not hijinxs or shenanigans. I just bought a copy at Borders (and was able to get 40% off for joining the Borders Rewards thing). I can prove it too!

The 31st word (counting headers, numbers, and abbreviations) on page 66 of the adventure book is:

[sblock]a[/sblock]By the way, my plan was to come home and cancel my Amazon preorder, but it seems to be too late for that. My order appears to be preparing to ship, so it looks like my greed and impatience will be rewarded with multiple copies of the adventure.

I got mine on Thursday from Borders. When I pre-ordered it last Friday, they told me it was already at their central warehouse ready to be shipped to individual stores and that it would be available "next week." And so it was.

I had that happen with a textbook order that a made a mistake on and then the site wouldn't let me cancel it. If you can find away to avoid delivery they will eventually take it back and refund you the money. But that's easy for me because I live in an apartment where they have no access to my mailbox unless I let them in......

Well, now I'm definitely hitting the mall today.

Here's hoping I can make use of my 40% off coupon at Borders.

I already checked my local Borders; no dice.

Getting KotS early andat a discount would have been sweet.

As a former employee of the corporate arm of Borders Books Inc., I'm seriously considering going to the least-well-managed store in my metro area and trying my luck...but I really do like supporting my FLGS.

Thanks for the tip, reading it now.
Guess my flgs did not miss out on the sale but amazon did, luckily my preorder was cancellable.

For full disclosure, Madison Wisconsin no 'new release' discount or anything. Wish I had known in advance, could have planned a game for this afternoon.
