Just feeling good after Sunday.
The last few weeks have been real hard on my gaming group. Player absenses and other stuff have made it difficult to get keep things moving, and I was beginning to worry whether my group would simply fall apart. It's hard to get a group here in Moscow. Also, we've had problems finding a location, as many of us don't have apartments suitable for gaming.
After nobody came last weekend, partially due to a time screwup caused by the daylight savings thing, I was pretty sure if we didn't get a gaming session in Sunday, that would be it. We had a place agreed upon, and emailed everyone and set the time. Then disaster struck thursday. The host said she couldn't host, and that she was dropping out of hte group. With two days to go we desparately needed a place. I quickly called my wife and worked out things so I could host and not bother her too much and sent an announcement resetting the game to my place.
On Sunday I went to the agreed upon meeting place, the subway platform near my apt. The agreed time, 12:30, came and went. No one came I dutifully waited. Then, totally unexpected, three gamers arrived at once. They had met at another station and come. One was a new guy who joined for the first time.
And so, we went to my place and had an awesome session, the best one I'd had in months.
Now we've settled our problem with a gaming location, and we've moved tyhe game to Saturday, which hopefully will increase attendance.
