Hmm any info on the other races? What's a Whisper Gnome and a Dream Dwarf?

Dream Dwarf: +2 Con, -2 Dex, +2 on Diplomacy checks made with creatures of the earth type. Dream Sigth: see into the ethereal. Spell Power: get +1 caster level on Divinations and earth based spells if in contact with the ground. Favored Class: Druid No ECL adjustment

Seeems like a more mystic version of a dwarf.

Whisper Gnome: +2 Dex, +2 Con, -2 Str, - 2 Cha, Darkvision 60', +4 racial on hide and move silent. +2 racial on listen & Spot. Get Silence 1/day as spell like in addition to ghost sound, Mage hand, & message, Favored class Rogue. No ECL.

This is the sneaky Gnome. ;)

what is a Blade Bravo?

Blade Bravo:
Pre Reqs: Gnome, BaB +5, Bluff 4, Combat Expertise, Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus (Rapier)

They get 4 + Int for skills, get light armor prof. d8 for HD, Figther BaB Progression, Good Ref save progression (looks like a rogues progression for saves, but not positive)

Special Abilities: 1st - Flourish (add bravo level to bluff for fient), Goad (bonus feat);
2nd - Mobile fighting (bonus to AC if you moved some);
3rd: bonus feat;
4th - Melee Sneak attack 1d6;
5th - Size advantage (+2 dodge AC bonus for each size catogry larger the attacker is)
6th - bonus feat
7th - Small but deadly (+4 to confirm crits with melee weapons, but only agianst creatures larger than it)
8th - Melee sneak attack 2d6
9th - bonus feat
10th - Lethal riposte (if attacker misses, it provokes an AoO from Bravo, and attacker does not get dex against attack. only useable 1/round)

Looks like a fun specialized Duelist type character for a Gnome

Does any prestige class actually have something new, or are all just recycling of existing abilities?

From what I have seen so far, it seems to have new stuff. Several of the abilities for the Blade Bravo (see my previous post) seem new to me. Now I don't have every single WotC book, but I have most and hadn't seen the abilities.

The new races don't strike me as having been done before either.

I would keep an eye on this thread and see what you think.

Hope that helps some.

What is the Divine Prankster? It looks like it might be the equivalent of Arcane Trickster from the title. How many skill points/level? Are the skills Roguish? How many levels of divine spellcasting progression? What prerequisites?

Thanks.

Ok, lets see...

Divine Prankster Pre Reqs - Gnome, Bluff 8, Perform (comedy) 8, Sleight of Hand 8, Needs to be able to cast 2nd level Divine Skills and worship Garl Glittergold.

They get 6 +int for Skills and have 15 class skills. (some of the skills are roguish, and some are clerical a nice mixa first glance) The spell progresion is +1 of existing spellcasting class per level.

Some of the abilites seem Bard like, but with a comedic bent.

What material is in Chapter 8: Campaigns of Stone?

Ok last one and I'm caught up for a while....

Campaigns of Stone
Small info on putting a group together using just races of stone.
A breakdown of dwarf & gnome commuities (city size, GP limit and such)
7 sample dwarf NPC's of varying levels
6 sample gnome NPC's of varying levels
5 sample Goliath NPC's of varying levels
Stuff on holidays

and a few new creatures (6 to be precise)

Ok, it appears that I have caught up for now, so I'm off to get some stuff done and I'l be back later this afternoon (I think, unless something better comes along) to continue answering ?'s.

I'm waiting for a cross-referenced review compared to the 2e books.
Well, if Races of Stone is even half as good as the old Complete Book of Dwarves, I'll be happy with it. CBoD was a very good 2e AD&D suppliment, and contains rules that can still be used to this day (such as rules for constructing a dwarven keep).

OTOH, if Races of the Wild is anything like the old Complete Book of Elves, I won't touch it with a 10-foot pole. CBoE was probably the single worst 2e AD&D suppliment I ever saw. The flavor text about elven life and society basically boiled down to "elves are perfect in every way" and nearly every page stated yet another way in which elves were superior to all other races, and the new rules for elves ranged from mildly to hideously overpowered; elven full plate, staple shot, and the infamous bladesinger class kit. This book was so awful that the author actually ended up apologizing for it.

Although from what I'm hearing, Races of Stone sounds like a very nice book. I'm especially interested in trying out a goliath PC sometime. :cool:

What are the new gods? The old racial pantheon that has been since incorporated to the Realms (e.g. Callarduran, Gaerdal, Baervan, etc. for the gnomes) or all-new ones?

Well, I wrote most of the stuff for dwarves and gnomes, so your answer is "very little." :) I believe the naming charts and some language charts, but that's pretty much it.

Woo and yay! Not that I dislike the stuff from the magazine, just that I dislike seeing stuff just relabled
