Just names.

Fexter Stoneblood- a Thundertwin dwarf with brother Finister.
Pure evil is Finister
Fexter & Finister = Dexter & Sinister (think french)

Father Benedict Selzkin - An OD&D cleric to all lawful gods.
started as Brother Ben - a nice homely guy, if a but niave. When he was ordained, he took his full name Benedict which startled a few (with good reason which I won't mention here). And his last name Selzkin = SELLS KIN or SKIN. His family is hiding from their old slaving heritage, but the branded moniker continues on.

REM - A Changeling Psion/Telepath
Taking the doppleganger motif to the extreme, Rem had about a dozen pseudonyms he would change into. As a changeling he could alter self into nearly any humanoid but he had a strict rule about this. Some names: Ember, Eddie, Old Clay, Innocence.
REMember, REMeddie, REMold clay, REMinnocence.

EDIT: Just couldn't follow the directions.
