Just saw the Battlestar Galactica Miniseries!

And I didn't even mind the "obvious" changes they made to a few of the main characters.

Starbuck... :p

Havn't seen it yet, just the beginning, but that was rather obvious... :D

I must say, I like the female Starbuck more than the male one. She (the actress) hasn't had too many opportunities to really shine, but when she does, boy howdy she's good at it.

The only weak parts of the show, IMO, are the guy who plays Apollo and
the whole Caprica sub-plot, which is kinda pointless right now.

I'm expecting some big revelation with the
Caprica thing. I
expect it'll last the season with some twist at the end.
I don't
have a clue what, though.

One thing I note is how they're not going with the traditional
One Season = One Year chronology of American TV. We have
nine aired episodes so far plus the mini-series and we're not
even up to a full month yet in internal time.

The old saying is that war is long periods of utter boredom punctuated by short periods of pure terror. They may do the same here, so that the series covers small stints of interesting time, and inbetween most fo the year is boring, and not shown.

I'm thinking similarly. I expect they'll do it the 24 way. End the season
with style and start the next one with a 'One Year Later' tag, probably
with some cast changes.
Baltar, for one, will probably not be around
next year, or at least, then in some completely different manner
.

Just came out today, I think.

I still haven't seen it. Hopefully they'll either use it as a two-part episode when the series starts, or show it to us the week before, so I can catch up.
