Just signed up for 2 more years

Well, on the thread about what everyone's running in November, someone mentioned Dungeon and that got me to thinking about Dragon.

I knew my subscription was up in one month. I had to think about it. I'm not fond of the miniatures coverage. I'm not too fond of the tie-ins to upcoming products. I hate these covers of some dude or chick that look like they belong on Maxium or something. I'm not too crazy about the comics. Without Phil and Dixie or the Knights of the Dinner Table, or heck, some of the other older classics, they've just been, "Meh."

However, I still enjoy most of the magazine and signed up for two more years. (Would've went for three but the bank account is already protesting that the car payment is coming up.)

How about the rest of you? Subbing? Continuing to sub? Stopping?

I just reupped a month or two ago for another year. While it would be wisest for me to reup for multiple years, I'm going for the year at a time plan right now, at least until the promotion I've been promised at work materializes.

I let mine lapse last summer -- I have too much to read as it is and something had to go. Dungeon, on the other hand, is a mag I never want to be without.

i let me sub lapse back in 1989 or so.

haven't missed it.

i did pick up the CD boxed set tho for kicks and giggles.

edit: wrt: Dragon.... as for Dungeon i still have 5 more issues and i'm in a holding pattern until they get their mailing right. 1 issue in the last 13 months has been on time.

I just renewed for a year myself, although of the two, Dungeon is far more useful. Dragon does sometimes give me some neat ideas, or at least food for thought, so it's worth it.

I did absolutely devour the recent Drow issue, tho -- so very useful in so many ways!

I have multi-year subscriptions to Dragon, Dungeon, and Undefeated, and I renew every comission. There are always at least two articles I can't put down in each and every issue, which justifies the per-issue expense. In fact, in the majority of issues of both magazines, there are only one or two articles I skip.

Well, I continued my subscription recently (for 1 year), together with the Dungeon one. I'm not sure about the usefulness of much of its contents for me, though. Most of the stuff in there is a bit overboard, and often I find myself just flipping through it and putting the magazine aside.

I prefer Dungeon myself.
