That's almost, but not quite 20 people, if you do some fuzzy math. I would imagine that TableTop could support 30 people fairly easily. It might be a bit loud, but that's all right.

I'll talk to my own group this weekend to see if anyone there is interested. So, that might be a few more.

TableTop is open from 10:00 to 7:00. I figure we could run an event from 10:00 to 2:00. Break for lunch, and then run another set of events from 3:00 to 7:00.

Likewise, I would like to set up some time to discuss the possibility of organizing an actual-factual convention, and I know Phil (hopefully he will be there) has a lot of ideas and input regarding conventions. Lord knows KC desperately needs a decent convention. So, we might consider, for those interested in a discussion regarding that, a 3:00 to 5:00 event, and then a 5:00 to 7:00 discussion on that.

I couldn't get any confirmations yet, but I sent an e-mail out to the extended gaming group I'm in and I'll let you know the head-counts as they come in...

So far, I'm pretty sure at least me and one other, but watch this space for developments. :)

I know of at least 2 of my friends who would come and possibly 4 more.

I'm planning on running All Flesh Must Eaten (room for 6-8) there (assuming its not too loud and there are enough people who are interested).

Out of curiosity what's with all the emnity towards Sean Con? I've never attended but I've been planning to go. Is there something about it I should know?

Moe, had you ever been to ShaunCon, you would completely understand. The attendance has declined every year. in 2001, they had an attendance of 170-something. For a metro area of 2 million people - not so good.
They pretty much only run RPGA games, so if you don't have a membership in the RPGA, you pretty much can't play anything. I ran a couple of non-RPGA games that year (the last and only year I attended), and I was the only one running non-RPGA games.

I went to a Shauncon four or five years ago. I haven't been to one since. It just seemed to be a grognard convention run by people who only play D&D. I like D&D just about as much as the next guy, but I was really hoping to try LARP games or games I had no exposure to at the time (Call of Cthulu, Shadowrun, et al). Can't tell you how disappointing it was to play 2nd ed. D&D all weekend.

Whoops. I'd lost track of this thread for a while. Count me in. I doubt I'll be bringing anybody.

You should consider setting a "drop-dead" sometime during the week of March 10th-14th. That way you can get a hard count of how many people you have to deal with and can set up an appropriate number of events.

I'm planning to be there, assuming nothing comes up. If my regular group is still gaming that evening, I'll only be around for the morning, otherwise I'm tentatively planning on both sessions. Now that a definite date has been chosen, I've sent an email to the rest of my group and some may attend.

BTW, since plans change constantly, any "hard count" will be somewhat inaccurate. That said, I agree it would be useful to try to nail down a good estimate of how many will attend each session. Also, a few questions:

1. Are you planning only 3E games, or other systems?

2. If other systems, are you assuming the participants already know the system, or will some/all these games be for newbies wanting to try something new? (Mutants and Masterminds jumps to mind - I've never tried it, but all the reviews have raved about it).

3. Do participants sign up ahead of time, or just join a game as they arrive? I'm not suggesting making this as formal as GenCon, just getting a feel for how you're planning to run things.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys have put in.
