Kansas City Game Day - A success! Photos on page 12.

Did my eyes deceive me? Did my reading comprehension skills fail me? Did I see someone say that there was a Game Store in Lawrence?!?!?!?

I assumed with the closing of Battlezone, that the Game gods had forsaken us.

Dash, where is it and what is it called?

Don't get too excited, it's not huge or anything... ;)

1 more week. Has anyone considered running any other events? I'm still concerned that there may not be enough events to cover all the people that are going to be there.

For what it's worth, I'll be showing up late and will miss the early slot and, plan on participating in the Convention Discussion so, for my dollar, I wont be playing any "formal" games. I'll bring some Magic decks if anyone wants to play some informal games there.

Someone should definatly have a sign-in sheet available from the get-go. We can collect names and email addys with which to start and list of some sort.

I don't think there's anything being planned for Slot C at all.

Should we go ahead and say what we want to do, or is that going to get sorted out then?

Oh, and regarding Hometown - it's a pretty decent little store. The new guy who's running it is doing a lot better than Ed did. The selection isn't quite what I'd like to see yet, but that's not too surprising. It's hard to find a good balance between selection and keeping product moving. It's quite possible that I'm spoiled by the FLGS in Topeka.

That reminds me, I need to get in touch with him... he wanted to talk to me about KUGAR.

I most likely will not be playing either.

I cannot guarentee my time of arrival, waking up at the crack of 1 can be a pain.

But I will most likely linger about and socialize just to meet new folks.

Sorry, gang, got caught up in the real world for a bit.

I will run a D&D game during slot C. I have yet to find an adventure. I'm open to suggestions, but I want pre-gen characters and I figure since we need more slots, I'd be willing to run up to 8 people through it! !!!! :|

I spoke with Matt briefly on Friday in relation to all of this.

I tried as best I could to tell him what it was all about, so that he could speak more intelligently about it to other enquiring customers.

As I am not actually doing much in the way of organizing, I strongly advise someone who is to go in and relay more information if possible.

Matt is curious as to how the tables need to be arranged and all of that.
