Kara-Tur Months and Years

Once again I turn to the eternal wisdom that is the ENWorld Boards. My FR campaign is taking a turn through the mystical land of Kara-Tur. To add a bit more flavor, I need to know if there has ever been a listing of the months and days like in the "normal" Forgotten Realms. Is there a Kara-Tur "name" for Mirtul, Kythorn, etc? How about number of days per month? Is it like the FR calendar - 30 days per month, 12 months, 5 "special" days sprinkled in?

I offer my humble thanks in advance.

I looked in my Kara Tur boxed set and don't see anything about a calendar. Which strikes me as kind of strange... But each nation was apparently written by a different freelancer, so maybe each nation has its own calendar.

I just pulled out my Kara Tur trail map, which despite being a map has a lot of other junk on it... but no luck there. Alphabet, martial arts schools, etc, but no calander.

I had looked through my KT boxed set and Trail Map as well and had come up empty. I was hoping I was just missing something as I went through. All I could find was a break down of years for Shou Lung, Wa, and Kozakura, no months.

Oh well, since it is my campaign I guess I can just make it up (what a novel concept!).

Thanks for your help, guys.

I skimmed the modules and the only thing I came up was in Blood of the Yakuza. The Calandar of Nakamaru list various festivals. However, it lists only 10 months: Tsou, Ju, Yu, Kao, Chu, Hsiang, Chuang, Hsuan, Yang, and Ku.

I guess one could have alternating 36/37 day months. It would add up to 365 days.

Or an easier way is to use a Japanese calandar <here>or Chinese lunar calandar <here>

The original (1e) Oriental Adventures book has the calendar on page 107.

The months are:
Tsou 30 days
Ju 30
Yu 30
Kao 30
Kao II 29
Chu 30
Hsiang 29
Chuang 30
Hsuan 30
Yang 29
Ku 30
Tu 29

It also lists feasts, festivals and Holy Days. The caledar was made by an emperor of Shou Lung and is commonly use in all the civilized lands of Kara-Tur.

Hope this helps:)

Awesome! The 1e OA book is probably the only resource I didn't look in. The fact it is packed away didn' t help. Thanks a ton!!
