New here. I was wondering if anyone has the stats for these items that Gary mentioned awhile back? I was curious about them because a PC of mine wanted to worship Murlynd, so I thought it would be a nice item for him to be searching for. Any help would be appreciated.

That's not a D&D item, just so you know... The stats can be found in the LML (Lejend Master's Lore), which is like the DMG for LA (Gygax's Lejendary Adventures game). Then, of course, you'd have to "convert" them to D&D. I'm not sure how much work that would be, as I don't recall exactly what they do.

In any case, those are some very high grade, very expensive items! Don't be expecting them to show up in a D&D game!

Thanks Zappo, you too Steveroo. Yeah I kinda gathered that they were LA items from Gary's post, but I dont' have the books for that game. I figured if anyone knew the stats and would post them I'd go ahead and convert them over to D&D...plus I was rather interested in what was said about them. As for the PC getting them, I would make it a tough quest to get his hands on them. So far he has had a blast playing a priest of Murlynd, so I wanted to give him something cool to quest for. I mean if all else fails I could design something but my curiosity wouldnt be quelled :D

Oh, pish-tosh! (Grumble, grumble!) I went and dug out my LML from under the pile of mags it was hiding under, but you owe me, big time! (Mutter, mutter!)

Kayedon's Thunderous Bolters: Two silver rods with mother-of-pearl handgrips, always found in pairs. Highly charged (Extreme++ Grade) with Supernatural energy, these weapons are each capable of firing up to six bolts per day (supernatural sixshooters), four per six-second round. The chance to hit and damage depends upon the range, as follows:

Range..........Chance To Hit.......Damage
Up to 50'.............90%..........1D20+1D4+16
51-150'...............70%..........1D20+1D4+12
151-300'.............40%...........1D20+1D4+8

The base damage (1D20) is Piercing and Blunt, and the 1D4+ is supernatural (Magic/Electrical), bypassing Slashing DR. Creatures which are especially vulnerable to either silver or electricity take maximum damage from the Magic/Electrical part, and are also knocked down, and must save or be Stunned for one round.

Each bolt is accompanied by a bright flash, and almost deafening thunderclap, as if from a lightning bolt. In a confined space (room, dungeon, etc.), the wielder (and anyone else within a 10' radius) will automatically be Deafened for one round (cumulative) for each bolt (so four bolts from each of the two wands equals eight rounds).

Effects of Stunned and Deafened are in the DMG.

(PS: Description not exactly as in the LML; I converted them to D&D terms).

Thanks a bunch Steverooo. I hope the mag pile wasn't too big.. :D . Seriously though my thanks. The items do sound very interesting and I appreciate the conversion from LA to D&D. By the looks of it he won't be getting them any time soon.. but hey...a PC has to have hope right...hee hee.
