Kensai Strength bonus

Hi,

At second level a Kensai get to add +6 to his strength for 1 round.

What kind of bonus is this?

Firstly, it's +8 to strength for 1/2 the Kensai's class level (at 2nd level this is 1 round, of course).

The bonus is untyped, so it stacks with everything, including other untyped bonuses.

Whats a untyped bonus, its the first ive heard of it? Where is the reference from?

Would the +2 str from say Defensive Stance be a untyped bonus?

An untyped bonus is a bonus where there is no type stated (such as enhancement, sacred, or inherent). As Pawsplay stated, you couldn't do this twice to gain double the effect.

The Power Surge would stack with Rage (except you'd need to be Chaotic, impossible for a Kensai), and the Dwarven Defender's Defensive Stance, both of which give untyped bonuses to Strength.

Furthermore,

Any bonus that is not specifically stated is untyped. You can tell in the line that talks about the bonus. Specific bonus are named. The text would say something like "this is a dodge bonus to AC" or "this is an enhancement bonus to STR" or something llike that.
