Ki Ball, new feat chain

First Post
Obviously inspired by Dragon Ball in some way. I attempted to not make it too overpowered or silly, but still useable. Critique away.

Ki Ball [General]
You can focus your Ki into a 3' diameter ball of physical force to damage your opponents at a range.
Prerequisite: +2 BAB, Stunning Attack ability, Wis 15+
Benefit: By spending a Stunning Attack use, you can create a ball of ki energy dealing 2d8 points of real or subdual damage at a range incriment of 30 feet. For each subsequent Stunning Attack spent on the ball, add 1d8 damage. No more than 1/2 level may be added to a ki ball. (Ex: 2 extra stunning attacks for a total of 4d8 damage at 5th lvl) Generating the Ki ball and firing it is an attack action. You must use your Wisdom in place of your Dexterity on the attack roll. A Ki Ball can be generated, and held for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier before it disapates and the uses are lost.
Special: If you possess the Ki Fist ability, you may add the bonus to each damage die. (Ex: 2d8+4 for the Ki Fist +2 of a 13th lvl monk.)

Enlarge Ki Ball [General]
You can generate an even larger Ki ball to effect a group of people or an area.
Prerequisites: +4 BAB, Ki Ball
Benefit: By spending 2 extra Stunning Attacks, you may cause the ki ball to affect a 10' by 10' area. Attacking in this way requires no attack roll but doing so allows all creatures in the area a Reflex save equal to 10 + 1/2 your level + your wisdom modifier.

Stunning Strike [General]
You can cause a person to be stunned with your ki ball at the cost of damage
Prerequisites: +4 BAB, Ki Ball
Benefits: By forgoing the initial damage caused by a Ki ball, you can imbue it with a Stunning Attack at no additional cost. You may still add on additional Stunning Attack uses to inflict 1d8 damage for each expended.
Special: You may not use the Enlarge Ki Strike or Elemental Ki Strike abilities in conjunction with this.

Elemental Ki Ball [General]
You have learned how to lace your Ki with the elements giving them greater potency
Prerequisites: +6 BAB, Ki Ball
Benefit: When forming a Ki ball you can cause it to deal elemental damage instead of physical. It is not possible to deal subdual damage in this way.
Special: When this feat is chosen you must select one of the following elements (Acid, Fire, Ice). Once it is selected it cannot be changed and you may only use that element. This feat may be taken multiple times, each time adding an additional element to your choices.

(Edit: minor spelling and grammer changes)
(Edit: added damage dice cap into Ki Ball)

The ability to do 2d8 damage at range at 3rd level is really good. This feat is really easy for a monk to get and it makes the monk's stunning attack a lot more usefull.

This basically gives the monk 3 uses of a second level spell. And as the monk gains levels he gets to use it even more times a days. As I look at other feats I really can't fine one that is anywhere close to allowing something like this.

Personally, I think this idea would be better served with a prestige class.

I was thinking the same thing about making it into a prestige class. That is what I will most likely do. Other than that, maybe upping the prerequisites would make them more balanced... having higher BAB, and maybe more feats, but I cant think of many that would be appropriate.

Definitely power these abilities down some. Its a bit too much damage to early on, and making it a little simpler would be better too. How about this:

-Change damage from 2d8 to regular unarmed damage
-Insead of an attack action, make it a standard action
-Add Wis modifier add to both hit and damage
-Don't bother with ki fist adding, not that its powerful but the effect is minor and unecessary
-Get rid of the charging aspect entirely

Of course, using it as an attack action and charging are okay ideas, but better off as extra feats or as abilities of a prestige class.
