D&D 5E Killed with a sword NINE LIVES STEALER

A Character killed with a sword NINE LIVES STEALER (soul sucked the sword) can be revived (revivify SPELL) or Resurection Spell or wish spell?

The soul is trapped in the sword? How frees the soul?

The sword's write up just says it tears the soul from the body, nothing about trapping the soul. Presumably they can be resurrected like any other victim of a violent death.

I agree with Voort - the item description says the weapon tears the life force from the victim's body. It doesn't say it is trapped in the weapon.

Also, "life force," does not have to equate to, "soul". You could say they are separate things. With life force removed, the body is simply dead, and clerical magics to revive the dead work normally..

Stab the corpse with the sword over and over again until the soul returns.
