From the gamingreport scans, this isn't true. colas, planetars and devas are renamed angels, the rest are split into their different groups (archons, eladrin, guardinals etc).

EN? Care to confirm or deny?

Does that mean that endure elements can no longer resist acid, sonic, or electrical damage?

If so, that's kind of uncool. It no longer protects against "the elements" of weird areas or other planes.

I would just allow home brew spells that take care of these issues. You can either have a PC research them or rule that these spells exist in your campaign. Remember, Rule 0 is the DM's best friend. Other than his dog.:D
