Whoa... I think it's awesome that you can call a customer service line for D&D questions... For once I think this would be a CS job that wouldn't totally suck...

"Hi, I have an item here I'm pretty sure is magic, but I can't figure out what it does..."
"Try hitting something."
"The wizard didn't appreciate that tip."
"Okay, try parrying something."
"Ow."
"Is there an inscription?"
"Yes! It says 'On'."
"... Try that."
*Muffled yelling, animal noises*
"Sir?"
"... Flaming weapons and barns don't mix."
Later, CS rep to CS rep, "There really needs to be a minimum int score with some things."

You could do for something else WoTC related too........I can't remember if it was for magic or 3.x though. But I do remember people saying that if you called 4 times about a tricky rules question you would get 4 different answers.

I noticed that the recommended power for the half-elf shares the same power source as his class. The same was true with the DDXP half-elf.
I wonder if this is a coincidence, or if the half-elf is limited to choosing the encounter power from other classes of the same power source.

I think they're trying to keep the character and his powers tied together thematically.
