Well, introductory adventures have a tendency to look very similar, so KotS has a handicap right from the start. KotS had the better poster maps, though.

In Thunderspire I mostly liked the first two dungeon locations. The third is a bit too weird for my tastes and the last one is too short and imho too uninspired to work well as the adventure's climax. It's also not really linked well to the plot.

I probably won't get H3, though. From what I've seen so far, it's too over the top for my taste. My opinion may change when more info is released and when I've read a review or two.

I've heard good things about Thunderspire. Any good reviews that might get me to want to pick it up?
Well, this is the review I've read before I decided to get it. Interestingly the encounter that the reviewer was so excited about is the only I didn't really like. Maybe it's more fun in play than just reading it, though.

I have to say that the 4E adventures so far remind me a lot of the old classics. If you generally liked these, they're probably worth getting.

Well, I have both. I have one group that just finished KotS and one group that just cleared the first level of KotS - I'm planning to run H2 for the first group, and run portions of H2 for the second one. I haven't actually run any of H2 yet, and I haven't read through the encounters in detail, but I will say that as far as inspiring fluff for building your own side-adventures, H2 is leagues ahead of KotS. The map itself is awesome, as well as the fact that most of the map is left intentionally empty so that you can put in your own nasty bits. I think it's a big step forward in open-ness, flavor, and depth from KotS. Can't tell you yet how the actual encounters play out in comparison though - check back in a month or two. :)
