Kulan: Knightfall's Heroes of Carnell Game [IC]

Maur grits his teeth at the surprising strength of the creature
"Not today, beast. You're next. Yield to your fate!"
He pushes the creature off, easily, given his compact stature and the shield standing between him and the ghoul. Having a metal, hard, slick shell around him helps too.

neurotic: D20 + 19#maurfortsave → 26(7 + 19)#Maur fort save
neurotic: D20 + 14#maurgrapplecheck → 34(20 + 14)#Maur grapple check - this is better I guess than attack since it doesn't work on them :p - I'd like to see a crit vs Eike.

Now with Thundershadow in hand, Caerth steps towards the ghoul and slams the quarterstaff into the undead creature's head. The blow cracks the ghoul's skull but it does not fall. The weapon feels so light in the half-orc druid's hands. He swings it around again and the ghoul seems to sense the danger. It just barely manages to avoid the druid's second strike.

Quinn pushes the undead trog back.

He sets himself and then whips his chain around in an arc to try to cut down all of the undead standing next to him. A moment before the chain would have cut into the first ghoul, Maur smashes it with his hammer and it crumbles to floor. The chain hits the open door instead of the next ghoul, but when he swings the chain around behind his back, the weapon smacks the undead reptilian in the chest.

In the great hall, the vicious ghoul bites and claws a Caerth and manages to sink its teeth in once and hit the half-orc druid with one of its claws. Caerth can feel his muscles tightening, but he manages to shrug off the ghoul's paralysis, just barely. The other ghoul tries to bite and claw at angus, but the northlands centaur keeps his shield in between himself and undead foe.

Litrix stands up, cursing under his breath. Clicking the heels together, he shimmers in the darkness and with a soft pop reappears between Angus and the rest of the warriors of the group.
"That was a waste of time!"

Move: Stand up
Standard: dimensional stride boots 3 charges for 40 feet of movement (part vertical, part horizontal) - move diagonally to the right and down on the map, two squares (ending under the lower left square of the grate) - appear 5' above the surface, I don't think he can see the ground, but could see the space above it

The dragonblooded knight appears to be flying for a second, but then he lands on his feet just beyond the reach of the two ghouls. His appears acts as a distraction, which allows for Angus to chop the ghoul in between him and Caerth in half.

"Bade deid!"

He turns and swings at the other ghoul, but he steps on a loose rock and nearly loses his grip on his sword. The northlands centaur is forced to right himself as he brings his shield around but the hasted ghoul easily dodges the attack. It cannot move fast enough to avoids Angus' blade and the wily forest reeve cuts a deep gash across the ghoul's chest.

Phar saw the fighters begin to get an edge on the ghouls. He drew back his bow and fired at the one closest creatures. Arrows shot down like a hail of rain but the ghoul deftly dodged as Phar, dismayed, watched his arrows crack or break on the stone floor around it. He only managed to hit the foul beast once.

3 ATTACKS: 10 +4(haste, point blank, above, magic; )=14-2 (Rapid shot)
1D20+12 = [11]+12 = 23 (Miss)
1D20+12 = [8]+12 = 20 (miss)
1D20+12 = [16]+12 = 28 (hit)

Last attack: 6+4 (haste, point blank, above, magic)=10-2 (Rapid shot). :
1D20+8 = [12]+8 = 20(miss)

4 attacks total and 1 hit:
Damage with Point Blank: 1D8+2 = [5]+2 = 7

At this rate, I'll run out of arrows faster than running out of spells.
PS: I have Precise Shot so no penalty for firing into combat.

Maur lays into the vicious ghoul next to Quinn. Unfortunately, it seems the trog that bit him earlier and damaged his armor made some moves difficult. And the threat from both trogs behind him makes him cautious. Too cautious.

First swing goes hard and fast, armor catches in the middle of the swing and the hammer almost flies out of his hand. Recovering somewhat, he swings twice more with enhanced reflexes from wizards spell, but not even divine guidance helps him against this quick foe.
"Curses!"

He then retreats a bit so that he and Quinn are not easily flanked.

The ghoul barely seems to feel the arrow sinking into its shoulder.

The two undead trogs seem to sense Maur's caution. The one that tried to grab the dwarf champion steps forward and claws and bites at the dwarf champion again. The other undead reptilian does the same.

The first trog's claws cuts a deep gash through Maur's armour and chest. The wound is grievous. The undead creature's second claw attack misses but the creature manages to sink its teeth in again and tries to wrap up Maur once again. The other undead trog also manages to bite Maur and tries to grapple the dwarf down to the ground.

The lone trog in the doorway tries to claw and bite Quinn but the gladiator-knight manages to block the trog ghast's attacks.

OOC: @Neurotic, I need two opposed grapple checks vs. the undead trogs. Maur must beat the two rolls noted below.

Undead Trogs - Grapple checks vs Maur: 1D20+13 = [1]+13 = 14
1D20+13 = [9]+13 = 22

The ghoul next to Angus claws and bites at the centaur forest reeve, but Angus blocks all its attacks.

In the air, Aureus continues to fire arrows at the ghoul but she cannot hit the evil thing. Caerth moves with hasted speed to get into a flanking position with Angus and swings Thundershadow with all his strength. He lets out a primal scream as the weapon smashes into the undead's shoulder and head. Its skull is crushed and it falls to the ground.

"Angus, Litrix, go help Quinn and Maur," the half-orc druid says. He snarls at the destroyed undead abomination on the floor of the great hall.

"You're a bitey beastie, aren't you."
Maur grunts at the strength of the monster as he pushes it away.
"That would be enough from you!"

OOC: resists grapple, waiting for my turn - rolled for spiritual weapon
