L4W Discussion Thread III

Velmont, unless I completley got it wrong when I voted for it, the overhaul does allow stat and class change. If you want to rebuild your fighter (wizard) as a swordmage (including revised stats), that's totally within the allowable and justifiable rebuild rules. We've already allowed a wizard to become a sorcerer for similar reasons.

Er, no, it's not. I proposed that stat and class change should be allowed in the overhaul, and that it should be able to be done at any point during a character's career. What actually passed (eventually) was that stat changes were allowed and the level limit was removed. Although now that I check, the Character Creation guide hasn't been updated to reflect this. *cough!*

Anyway, retirement is currently the only way to change your class.

Or a special proposal for your character only, which is what we did with fireinthedust's wizard-to-sorcerer change. I'd like to avoid making that a typical thing.

If Trevor is just barely 2nd level, retirement and reimagining is a pretty good option.

Edit: Due to a language issue (couldn't take Magari) and a few other things that came into play once I tried making the changes, I'm deciding against my previous request.

Disregard.

With the retirement rules, I've decided to simply create a new character from scratch. I'm loosing in wealth a bit, but I'll have something more interesting in the final and I'll try to give him a bit more background, and some hook.

Hi! I'm one the newest potential PCs (until he's approved, I look at Mesa as being both there and not there; Schrödinger's shifter, if you will), and find myself in an embarrassing situation.

While waiting for approval or action at the tavern, I've been making sure all of my other settings were in order. Well, ok, I've been reading your posts, but during down time I've been putting my other settings in order. But I can't find the setting to let other members e-mail me. I go to My Account ->Settings & Options ->Edit Options, and... nothin'. I promised myself I would figure it out on my own, no need to let everyone know how clueless I am (at least not right away), but I've just spent twenty minutes looking carefully at every part of that page and I can't find stupid thing. The swear word has yet to be invented that can describe my frustration.

So now, humbled by the cunning of a message board deity that obviously has a personal grudge against me, I turn to you for help. What am I missing? How do I turn that option on? Will I really be able to roleplay an Int 10 character when it seems I'm functioning more at a 2?
