Lake Geneva Gaming Convention III

Okay!

See you at the con...and on my front porch for the LA game :D

Cheerio,
Gary

Is there a get-together Thursday before? We're flying in to Kenosha Thurs. morning and driving over (we came to our senses and said "Hmm...1400 mile drive in 24 hours? Uh...no." - of course that means no Dwarven Forge dungeons from me, as I don't trust the airlines to handle it at all carefully, durable though it is...).

That's not a bad drive from east-central Iowa. This might be easier to make than GenCon for me.
Well...

Attending GenCon is akin to visiting New York City, while attending the LGGC is sorta like touring Keokuk with a bunch of friends

Come on and join us if you like, for you will be most welcome, but get your morel reservation right away!

Cheerio,
Gaey

Oooooooooo. Now THIS one is REALLY tempting. Maybe even moreso than GenCon!

Hmmm...... :\
Well, all the friendly folks that come to the LGGCs will be happy to see you if you should decide to come. As I have stressed, it is very informal and most everyone there is another good old boy as far as we are concerned.

Two years ago I was tour guide for a group in a bus that went around town, so I could point out the places where TSR operated starting at Don Kay's former house and my own, where the first D&D booklets were printed, where the early GenCons were held, etc.

I don't know if the Trolls have slated another tour for this year or not.

Cheers,
Gary

Whew!
Almost missed this post

Yes indeed, there is a Thursday evening party starting at about 6:00 PM on my front porch. As usual we'll have chow and some soda and beer, but bringing what you like to drink is always a good idea, Last year Steve had to make two beer runs :uhoh: Oddly, the year before a case was all we had, and only about half of it was consumed during the party.

The addy here is 316 Madison St.

Cheers,
Gary

Well, it is a great little con, and Steve will be there ducking out of gaming to drink with my no-good children at Fat Cat's a block away from the con site, but someone will likely be CKing a C&C adventure.

BTW, I have heard a lot of good things about Goodman Games old school modules :D

Cheerio,
Gary

To be honest I would be interested to even sit in on a game to see how it functioned real-time. :\

Is this an open invite, Gary? :D I'm flying in on Thursday, but I may not be arriving until 10pm or later....

It is safe to say that all the GMs at the con are happy to have someone monitoring their game...and it is easy to get into an RPG or boardgame too. As I said, a very friendly and informal gathering.

My spare time for gaming reading is very, very limited.

Ciao,
Gary
