Lake Geneva Gaming Convention III

Okay, I live about an hour west and have never been to one of these.

I'll be talking to the wife and there is a good chance that I'll be there. :)

Maybe I can make it this year, Gary. ;)

First time around I was in the middle of a move.
Last year was on the weekend my wife and I renewed our vows (20th anniversary).

She's understanding of my gaming habits. But not THAT understanding. ;)

Anyway Im' about 40 minutes away. We'll see what happens.

GenCon Bah! I want this.

I used to think that GenCon was the convention I wanted to go to. No longer. I spent several hours planning a trip online for this and wished I had about $1000. That would cover round trip, car, lodging, food, and gaming for me. Ah well, when I hit the powerball.

Assert your male dominance

Ph well, better still see if you can't wheedle her into making the trip with you. She can find stuff to do here--there's the beach, an antique mall, shops, and some nice little coiffee houses.

Traveling from Utah to the Midwest ain't cheap. About the most economical means is ride sharing an automibile. The LGGC is not as expensive to attend, and if reservations are made early, room rates are not too bad here, especially if several people share the cost. However, there is so much to see and new stuff to buy at GenCon that it is an imperative for many...at least once or every few years.

Cheers,
Gary

doh! I said "20th Anniversary". I meant 25th.

Actually she's a gamer too. And would probably fight me to get a seat at any table you were running a game at. Our daugher has health problems tho. Usually requires one of us to remain at home while the other one games/plays. ;)

But that either of us complains. She's a joy to be with.

But we may make it there yet if I can grab one of the grandparents to come up and pay a visit.

If I miss another LGC Steve and Davis are going to think it's personal. ;)

Sorry to kearn that your daughter has health problems. May they clear up soon.

I suspect that Steve and Davis just want you to show up as an excuse to etertain you in the evening by showing you the local watering holes

Anyway, see you at the con if you can make it.

Cheerio,
Gary

A reminder for those of you that plan to come to this event:

We host a pre-con Thursday evening porch party at my place, 316 Madison Street. Things begin at around 6:30 and last until 10 PM (for me, as that's when I retire) and later for those that want to keep on.

We are again asking attendees to bring whatever it is they like to drink, and some extra to share. That way Steve won't have to make several runs to re-stock the coolers with beer, sodas, and bottled water;)

So, I hope to see you on the porch or at the convention.

Cheerio,
Gary
