"Laming up" non-compound monster names!

Inspired by the portmanteau thread, there seem to be two main issues when discussing naming conventions:

A. That compound names aren't bad, but they can be poorly done.

B. That compound names can acutally be more descriptive, and thus helpful to player understanding, than made up words.


So I thought a fun exercise would be to take made up words (or even words based upon/found in fantasy) and lame them up with the worst compound words we could.

Let's just see how bad of stinkers we can make!

An bit OT, but I think a big part of why these are bad is simply because we are not used to them. As a non-native English speaker, some of the monster names started out completely ridiculous, but after being exposed to them for years they become quite acceptable.
