Latest Purchases?

Just picked up MnM 2e, and after scrounging in the bargain bin, a copy of the Albedo: Platinum Catalyst 20th Anniversary Edition for $5 !!!

MnM looks great.
Albedo looks like a horrible, unplayable mess, but there's loads of great fluff from the comic series.

So what have people been spending their money on lately?

Most recently I bought the True 20 .pdf from RPG Now. Prior to that it was Magic of Eberron. I can't think of anything in particular on the horizon that I feel is a must buy, though I may be picking up the True 20 campaign planner if things work out that way.

Brick 'n mortar RPG store? Tome of Levity, Dragon mag, and some mini's. Slim pickings right now, so I didn't drop much.

Bookstore? Some George Martin and Turtledove. Figgered I'd better see what folks are yapping about.

Online? A few pdfs. Mostly some really cool The Le stuff.

I've bought a bunch of boardgames and minis lately:

Tsuro: An interesting looking tile-laying/path following game from Wizkids.

Descent: Really cool dungeon crawl boardgame; steep price for a scenario-based game ($80), but I think it's worth it. Had fun playing it last weekend. It looks like the scenarios have a lot of replay value, so I'm quite happy with it.

Roborally: A classic that I've been wanting to buy for quite some time. Now I have to get around to playing it...

Hellspike Prison: I like the poster maps. Haven't read the adventure - someone at work might want to run it.

Lots of Reaper and IK Minis: I spent 30 minutes surfing the Reaper web site looking for sahuagin to serve as bosses/leaders for all my DDM sahuagin. I didn't see any. Lo and behold, I find a brand new, just released blister of Reaper aquatic humanoids at the FLGS on Sunday.

If/when the company store re-opens (we just moved to a new building), I'm all over a case and a half of Underdark minis.

Print:
Monsternomicon 3.5
Liber Mechanica

Plan to get Heroes of Horror. (This will officially make 2005 my biggest year for WotC purchases.)

PDF:
Tome of Horrors 3.5
Hilltop Encounter and Sacrificial Portal (terrain)
Plan to get The Fantastic Science: A Technologist's Sourcebook

Miniatures and Oddball:
Todd MacFarlane's Dragons 2 series. Online ordering - Toys 'R' Us aparently won't be stocking it in their brick and mortar stores. :(

The Auld Grump

*EDIT* Removed faulty link to Amazon/Toys 'R' Us website.

Fairly recentishly, there's been:

Iron Heroes
A Game of Thrones OGL
101 Mundane Treasures (pdf)
Another 101 Mundane Treasures (pdf)
The Complete Guide to Fey
Thieves' World: Player's Manual
Conan: The Road of Kings
Call of Cthulhu d20
GURPS - Magic
GURPS - Chine (pdf)

But a few of those are less recent than the rest. Eh, I forget. I might've even missed one or two. Hm.

An update to my earlier post. Based on all the talk in the Campaign Planners thread, I impulse-bought Campaign Planner 2 and Campaign Planner 3 last night. Haven't had a chance to look through them in much detail yet, but I'm hoping they really help me out with my swashbuckling campaign :)

Oh, I also bought the map of the Caribbean from ENGS at the same time (as my campaign is actually set in the 1670s - with a dash of voodoo magic (think Pirates of the Caribbean in actual feel)).

I totally and unjustly forgot some recent PDFs:
Poisoncraft: The Dark Art (a very nice work on all things poison)
The Seven Saxons

Pets & Sidekicks
