I wanted to try out one of the other series and decided on the environmental series because someone convinced me that they were useful for fleshing out a setting, making them more useful than the Heroes series (for example).

They ARE great for that!

Picked up Privateer Press' 3.5 version of the Witchfire Trilogy yesterday. Haven't gotten a chance to read it yet, however.

C&C minis? Any picture or links?

I saw some of those at GenCon, but couldn't justify buying more unpainted minis when I have a few hundred at home already and I paint maybe 1 day a month. They were pretty good, as I recall, and based on artwork in the C&C PHB.
