Laughing and Honesty

How many of you live in the present and do not dwell on the past? And not worry about things that have already come to pass? I like to as I generally feel much better when I do, I unfortunately am blessed with a family that is the opposite. :D

How many of you are so honest, that even if telling the truth would possibly make people view you in a more negative light? For instance, I dont mind telling people that I failed a class, much to the chagrin of my mother. :D

I live in a few moments of the past as well as the present. And honesty is right at right times and not all the time. My life is in various shades of gray.

Well, my current life as well as the past is/are bleak, boring, and just plain dull. Hence I look to the future, when everything's gonna be juuuuuuust right. I hope.

I try not to dwell on the past, but the past is what lead my where I am today.

I can't help but to be honest, because every time I do something wrong, I get caught :heh:

Happiness is important to me; thus the gift of dark humour is particularly useful, as it allows entertainment to spring from even the most fallow grounds of the past. And apparently I can't lie - I might be able to twist the truth with a few days' prep time, but that's about it, and I quite enjoy it. So yeah, it's the way to be!

I think being honest, even when it puts yourself in a bad light, is important. I have a reputation at work for not holding back my opinion. I call it as I see it. However, since I'm also the first to admit (or even point out) when I screw up myself, it gives me a certain amount of credibility. People know they can trust me to give them a straight answer, so I'm trusted and even sought out for certain questions and projects. How could I criticize others without being willing to be equally critical of myself?

At least I THINK my honesty is what gives me credibility at work. Perhaps, instead, people like to hang around because they see me as a train wreck waiting to happen. Beat's me.
