Layout for Secure Shelter

Is there an official layout for Leomonds Secure Shelter. It says it's 20 foot square structure. I'm bad with math; how many squares is that? it's only four squares, that's pretty tiny for all those bunks, tables and stools.

Also, does the caster get to choose the style of the house and its "rude" furnishings?

In the 3.0 PHB there was a picture. There it's 4x4 squares.

And I think dcollins had a fold-up model on his website. :)

It doesn't show the ground layout, tho. ;)

Thanks. Wow. That is TINY. How do you get "eight bunks, a trestle table, eight stools, and a writing desk" into four squares? A hut for eight people with only four squares? That seems rather odd, no? Is that pysically possible? I thought it was one square per Medium person.

4x4 is actually 16 squares, not four.

That means you could have a max of 16 medium sized combatants in the shelter.

And, you could almost fit two bunks in one 5x5 square (if they were 5 x 2.5 foot bunks). So, the bunks take up a little more than 4 squares and that still leaves almost 12 squares for everything else.

400 square feet is actually plenty of room for 8 people, 8 bunks, a trestle table, 8 stools, and a writing desk.

I knew I'd blow it on the math. Ok, 16 squares is a lot better. What a nifty little spell. I'm gonna ask my GM to let me put a dark elven flavor to the architecture (no effect on spell other than looks and roleplaying).

you're giving it a flower decour?

I might, I was thinking more an Underdark theme. Also, since Chronus Timekeeper is not very nature-oriented (city-slicker flaw), he'd be more likely to have clockwork flowers. I doubt the spell provides for that. ;)

A dark elf has to sleep in comfort when he is out in the wilds, you understand. Also the dignity of a crude writing desk is some solace in if party insists on dragging me through forzen swamps, etc.

Thanee, thanks for the link. :)

Attached you'll find the floor plan from the 3.0 PHB (p. 220).

Awesome thanks for the layout. I wonder I could get away with a partition so that Chronus can have his own room. The indignity of the wilds!
