OK, just checking. In that case, the xeph fires and hits (rolled a 14), but does only 3 points of damage, which is absorbed by your tough, metallic hide. The xeph looks astonished and annoyed. The bladeling is unharmed. Your move, metal man.

Actually, with the damage reduction, Bladeling Bob is going to charge the Xeph and try to hew him asunder. (Note: where is the 3.5 conversion info? I'm thinking a CR 1 dude should have DR x / bludgeoning OR magic, as the combo DR's are usually reserved for really high level goons; I'm just curious where you find the 3.5 info)

You can find it on the Wizards website. It could be a typo, but in this case arrows won't work anyway. It's too late now, LN already benefited from it.

I also ran a bladeling as LN, so I asked Gansk the same question. The conversion he had said DR/bludgeoning magic, so he interpreted it as bludgeoning and magic. As it is written in the MMII (DR/+1, but only against piercing and slashing), it would imply DR/bludgeoning or magic. I will go with Gansk's interpretation, although it does not matter in this particular combat because the xeth does not have a bludgeoning weapon.

On to the fight:

Bob charges to 5N110E and misses (rolled a 10+2=12 for charge). The xeph drops his bow, pulls out his rapier, and flails wildly (rolled a 6). Your move.
