Edited Tactic: dive-bomb and try to attack with the tail (1d4-4 still means minimum 1 damage, right?) since the mind-affecting blasts will have no effect.
(aside: no way are these things CR 1/2. AC 18, construct traits, Slam +3 for 4-7 damage
- one of these things could take out a first level party; however, we can only go by what's in the book eh? Methinks there will be more than one of these puppies in the Hall of Fame.)

OK. You take an AoO for entering Jello rat's space. It hits (rolled a 15) for 7 points of damage. Cerebral hood has 2 HP left.
Amazingly, cerebral hood hits (rolled 18+1=19 for higher ground) for 1 point of damage. Astral construct (lvl 1) is destroyed! The Lawful Evil crowd cheers! (and breathes a sigh of relief)
A brown-skinned humanoid with dark hair enters the arena at 0N115E. He is clad in studded leather armor with a shield on his back. He fires his longbow at you and misses (rolled 11-2=9 for long range). Your move, 'hood.

That would be a partial run. A double move is to 0N5E. If you want a full run, you are at 0N15E.
