Learning to DM - Adventures/Modules to help

Maximum Fu

First Post
I and my friends are basically new to 3.5 (none of us have played D&D in the last 15 years, so...). I got appointed DM which is fine by me. I am reading the core books which is great. I was wondering though if there are any adventures or other sources out there which kinda walk a fledgling DM through the process of being a DM. I know that's a bit of a tall order, but you never know...thanks.

The D&D Basic Game boxed set is a great place to start if everyone in your group is new to D&D. The best way is to play with an experienced group. But if you don't have that option, the D&D Basic Game is excellent for training players and DMs simutaneously. It starts of with very simple scenarios, but then adds something new with each new scenario.

Orcfest by Fast Foward Games is probably one of their most mechanically sound and easy to use adventuers. It's 3.0 but should be a snap to convert.

Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics are good dungeon crawls, if you like that sort of adventure. The first two are low level, I believe.

Open World Press' Hamlet of Thumble is good too.

A couple of modules from Kenzer - "Aldriv's Revenge" and the Coin Trilogy. Both offer a balance of role-playing and combat situations. If I recall, they both have flow charts that let you keep track of events that take place "off screen" - which is pretty useful for a new DM.
