Ugh. Regardless of WotC weak retcon with 4E, Eberron doesn't connect elsewhere except its own plane. I wasn't pleased with the idea with Ata's character, and I'm in general pretty against it. If you want to be someone without a lot of familiarity with Khorvaire (Eberron's main continent, and where Sharn is), there are ways:
- Q'Barran jungle dragonborn/kobold
- Seren human barbarian
- Someone touched by the Day of Mourning that has memory problems (aka, your Cyran expat).
Dammit! I got my hopes up!And they're golems, not robots. Big difference.![]()
That's a good one. They've been coming and going for a while. Eladrin, elves that decided to migrate back, or gnomes all fit there. Those are all fine ideas... another, is the eladrin cities that have gotten marooned on the material plane since the Mourning. That'd definitely work for an eladrin swordmage, or any other character you can come up with a fey background for.
The "weak retcon" is the sentence in the Manual of the Planes that suggests that if one goes far enough in the Astral Sea you'll get to another setting/cosmology. Spelljammer might have been fun, but its not Eberron.[1](Maybe this is part of the "weak retcon" stonegod mentioned? But it is there in the setting in any case.)
We can have as many players as we want, but without DMs, its moot. Talking about 3 characters is way to premature at this point, methinks.
In my game after the skill challenge and next encounter those who are part of the original team will be able to level-up.
We need characters that aren't Feylocks or Drow Sorcerers.
